HVAC Systems

Global demand for HVAC equipment will grow 4.7 percent annually through 2008 according to a Fredonia 2004 study. Gains will be driven by accelerating building construction activity in the Asia/Pacific region, particularly China, and in Latin America. Cooling equipment will outpace heating, reflecting the lower penetration rates of air conditioners.

This study analyzes the US$45 billion world HVAC equipment industry. It presents historical demand data for 1993, 1998 and 2003 and forecasts to 2008 and 2013 by product (e.g., unitary air conditioners, room air conditioners, other cooling equipment, heat pumps, warm air furnaces, boilers); by world geographic region and for 22 major countries.

The study also examines the market environment, details industry structure and market share, and profiles 34 leading competitors including Carrier, Trane, LG Electronics, Lennox International, and York International.
