Petrobras Awards Fugro Contract for IRM Work Offshore Brazil

Petrobras has awarded Fugro a two-year contract to provide inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) and pipeline inspection services offshore Brazil. It follows the contractor’s completion of an initial 12-month assignment for Petrobras after taking delivery of the newbuild vessel Fugro Aquarius. The DP-2, ROV support vessel, purpose-built for the Brazilian market by Wilson Sons shipyard in São Paulo, is 83 m (272 ft) long with a deck area of 520 sq m (5,597 sq ft), and equipped with two Fugro-built 150-hp 3,000-m (9,842-ft) water depth work class ROVs.

Nord Stream 2 Signs Deal with Allseas on Offshore Pipe Laying (T17)

The operator of the Nord Stream 2 project said on April 11 it had signed a contract with Swiss company Allseas for the offshore laying of natural gas pipelines along the bed of the Baltic Sea from Russia to Germany. The company will lay pipelines offshore in 2018 and 2019. Allseas will use three pipelaying vessels: Pioneering Spirit, Solitaire and Audacia. The contract follows a letter of intent agreed between both parties last December. Russia's Gazprom is the only shareholder of Nord Stream 2.
