670-MW FGD at Weifang No. 3 in Operation

The FGD system for Unit 3 (670 MW) at Huadian Weifang Power Co. (Shandong Province) began to operate on Nov. 9, 2006. The system employs the wet limestone/gypsum method. The removal efficiency of SO₂ is over 95 percent. China Huadian Energy Co. is the contractor for this FGD project. The investment amount for the FGD system is about 150 million RMB.
