Universal Continuing Decision Process For: Carbon Capture and Storage Costs
For IEA’s cost analysis and a summary of thermal efficiencies of power plants with and without CO2 capture, see, “Capturing CO2,” IEA, May 2007. (This is a 450 page report and may take a few minutes to download.) |
See, “Carbon Dioxide Capture and Storage,” IPCC, 2005. (This is a 450 page (20 MB) report and may take a few minutes to download.) |
See, “Cost and Performance Baseline for Fossil Energy Plants,” DOE/NETL, August 2007. |
In 2007, DOE undertook a comprehensive evaluation of the capital costs and levelized electricity costs for Natural Gas Combined Cycle (NGCC), Pulverized Coal (PC) and Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) power plants, all with and without CO2 capture and storage. A summary of the findings from the 2007 report is attached. |
