Names and Contacts at all plants greater than 30 mgd just revised
We have been on the phone calling all the plants with more than 30 mgd. There are new names and contact information at nearly every one of these plants. So there are now correct phone numbers and current information for every large plant. We are starting on the 10 to 20 mgd plants and once these are updated we will focus on smaller plants.
New Search Capability
There is a new search capability in the database. All the Updates are posted so they can be accessed through a key word search. You can type in a city or state or one word from a plant name in this generic update search engine. You can also access articles covering individual equipment such as digesters or pumps. So this is just one more way to access the 20,000 pages in the database

Expansion and Upgrade of Newtown Creek Plant
The New York City EPA has awarded Skanska USA Civil Inc. a contract valued at $493 million to expand and upgrade the Newtown Creek Water Pollution Control Plant in Brooklyn. This project is one of the final phases of a major plant upgrade to fulfill federal requirements to provide secondary treatment. Work has begun and is expected to be completed in January 2008.
State Approval Likely for New Wastewater Treatment Plant
