Tracking the Whole Supply Chain
Companies such as Celanese make the resins for cartridge non–wovens. Evonik makes fibers just for PPS and P84. Henkel makes the glue used in dispensing systems by Graco and Nordson. This glue is applied by Lydall, Ahlstorm, H&V and other media companies. They sell media to the Filtration Group and the many other companies which supply the finished cartridges. The cartridge companies sell filters to ultrapure water process suppliers such as Veolia. They provide these sub-systems into boiler packages supplied by MHPS, Doosan, or B&W. These systems are used in plants operated by AEP, Enel, EDF and the big five in China. McIlvaine has services focused on each step in the supply chain. The devil is in the details. We peruse Title V permits and find out that a membrane manufacturer in Minnesota will be adding 7000 tons per year of resin handling capacity. We can convert these types of numbers into finished filter production. We learn details of each step in the production process where any VOCs are potentially going to be emitted. From Google Earth we can count the cars in the parking lot and check our employee estimates.
In the air segment the amount of media information can be overwhelming. Title V permits for cement plants can identify the media, air flow and other features for as many as 50 different collection points. We also have all the water permits and can tell not only the discharges to receiving waters but many other aspects. We track all the municipal water and wastewater projects and supply biweekly project reports.
All of this creates a whole new way to use intelligence. We would be glad to show you how it can be done. Just email Bob McIlvaine at: rmcilvaine@mcilvainecompany.com
