Is Dry Scrubbing Gaining Market Share?
A number of glass plants have installed ceramic filters with dry lime injection to meet the requirements to reduce acid gases. Semi dry and dry scrubbers are finding use on a number of applications including incineration, cement, iron and steel and chemicals. In general, these approaches are either not as efficient or use more sorbent than wet scrubbers. On the other hand, there is no need for wastewater cleanup. The markets for both types of scrubbers are analyzed in N008 Scrubber/Adsorber/Biofilter World Markets.
Two McIlvaine Newsletters provide updates on the scrubber/adsorber market. All issues for the past nine years can be accessed chronologically. The Scrubber/Adsorber Newsletter provides the latest commercial information. The Gold Dust Newsletter provides the financial perspective.
