Measurement and Control Instrumentation is the Hot Topic October 15, 2009
One of the biggest opportunities for existing power plants is to upgrade measurement and control instrumentation to improve efficiency, lower the CO2 footprint, reduce unforced outages and even reduce the cost of preventive maintenance. With the additional environmental equipment, the operation of power plants has become increasingly complex. Fortunately, there have been substantial developments on controls and instrumentation to meet the new needs. On October 15 at 10:00 a.m. the McIlvaine “Hot Topic Hour” will focus on ways to make these improvements.
The speakers for this session will be:
John Gregory, Business Development Manager, ABB Automation
Todd Melick, Vice President, Promecon USA
Sean Smiley, Account Manager, Yokogawa Corporation of America
