Eagle Valley Combined Cycle Power Plant-IPL
Indianapolis Power & Light (IPL) plans to build a $631 million natural gas-fired combined cycle power plant in south-central Indiana as part of its push to meet tougher environmental regulations. Construction of the 650 MW power plant is set to begin in 2014 and be completed in 2017. The plant will help replace power lost as IPL shuts down six existing units at the Eagle Valley Generating Station (previously HT Pritchard) in March 2016.
