Market for WESP Stainless Plate

I talked to Buzz Reynolds of Siemens. He said all the specs call for 3/16” or greater plate. At Trimble County, they are using 6 moly and 2205 at Prairie State and Dallman. He thinks Spurlock is 2205 and Elm Rd. is 317 Lm. Buzz said they use a special design which was confidential but you could describe it as something more than 3/16. So maybe it is some shape other than just flat plate. : 1) How many WESPs have been installed? At least 100 world wide in power and thousands in acid mist and other chemical/refinery applications. Belco division of DuPont is big with the EDV in refineries. They may have close to 100 installations. The EDV is a hybrid between a WESP and a scrubber 2) Forecasted mkt for WESPs? It is about 5% of the potential of FGD but lots of stainless as a percentage of the total market. The problem may be the sizes do not fit your offerings 3) Approx Lbs of plate required per WESP…Power Plant WESPS are as big as the scrubbers. So there is lots of plate See the draft of the article in Air Pollution Control for more details on this market.
