Duke will need to excavate or cap ponds at Wabash River Generating Station

Duke Energy will need to create a corrective action plan for its coal ash ponds in Indiana after mandatory groundwater testing found the ponds have contaminants at levels higher than groundwater protection standards.

Eagle Valley Combined Cycle Power Plant-IPL

Indianapolis Power & Light (IPL) plans to build a $631 million natural gas-fired combined cycle power plant in south-central Indiana as part of its push to meet tougher environmental regulations. Construction of the 650 MW power plant is set to begin in 2014 and be completed in 2017. The plant will help replace power lost as IPL shuts down six existing units at the Eagle Valley Generating Station (previously HT Pritchard) in March 2016.

St. Joseph-Development Partners Group

A long-proposed natural gas-fired power plant in New Carlisle, IN, may be on its way to construction. St. Joseph County Commissioners approved a supplemental agreement at a recent meeting to allow for engineering services to look at infrastructure in the area of the project.
