Yokogawa Supplies Control System to Ensure Smooth Supply of Power from Wind Farm

The Rokkasho Wind Farm in Japan uses large-capacity sodium sulfur (NAS) batteries to store electricity for supply to the national power grid. Yokogawa Electric Co. supplied a monitoring and control system which monitors each battery and each windmill, and calculates power output patterns to ensure a stable supply of power to the grid.
