Ahlstrom is investing $10 million in expansions in the U.S. and China in 2008.  Plans in the U.S. call for consolidating its air filtration sites in Bellingham, Massachusetts and Darlington, South Carolina to its Bethune plant in South Carolina.  The company is combining the expansion with new state of the art equipment.

DuPont’s Hybrid Membrane Technology (HMT), their new nanofiber technology, offers properties of high efficiency at low pressure drop and fills the gap between traditional nonwovens and microporous films.
