Flue Gas Desulfurization, Denitration Industry for Coal-fired Power Plants in 2012
In order to better serve the power industry and environmental protection industry. China electricity council (hereinafter referred to as CEC) has continuously carried out the registration for the environmental protection industry for coal-fired power plants for eight years. Registration always adheres to an open, fair, just and corporate voluntary principle. Regarding published information flue gas denitrification franchise and denitration catalyst capacity, etc. were newly increased in 2012. The relevant information is as follows:
Industry information on flue gas desulfurization for coal-fired power plants.
The total capacity of new operation on flue gas desulfurization units for coal-fired power plants was about 45,000 MW in 2012. The cumulative total of flue gas desulfurization units in operation for coal-fired power plants was up to 680,000 MW by the end of 2012. It accounts for 90 percent of capacity of the active coal-fired units. A one percent increase over 2011.
The capacity of flue gas desulfurization units from the registered manufacturers in operation for coal-fired power plants in 2012 is shown in Table 1. The cumulative total of flue gas desulphurization units in operation for coal-fired power plants by the end of 2012 is shown in Table 2.

The industry information on flue gas denitration for coal-fired power plants.
The total capacity of new operation on flue gas denitration units for coal-fired power plants was about 90,000 MW in 2012. Among them, using selective catalytic reduction denitration unit capacity accounting for denitration capacity of the units in operation is 98 percent. The cumulative total of flue gas denitration units operational for coal-fired power plants exceeded 230,000 MW by the end of 2012. It accounts for 28 percent of capacity of the active coal-fired units.
The capacity of flue gas denitration units from the registered manufacturers in operation for coal-fired power plants in 2012 is shown in Table 3. The signed contracts for capacity of flue gas denitration units is shown in Table 4. The cumulative total of flue gas denitration units in operation for coal-fired power plants by the end of 2012 is shown in Table 5.

The franchise information on flue gas desulfurization and denitration for coal-fired power plants.
By the end of 2012 the signed franchise contracts for capacity of flue gas desulfurization units for coal-fired power plants was 83,895 MW. Of this total 76,455 MW were operational by the end of 2012. The signed franchise contracts for capacity of flue gas denitration units for coal-fired power plants was 7,500 MW. Of this total 5,700 MW were operational by the end of 2012.
The information on the signed franchise contracts for capacity of flue gas desulfurization units for coal-fired power plants is shown in Table 6 and the information on the signed franchise contracts for capacity of flue gas denitration units for coal-fired power plants is shown in Table 7.
