China Has To Now Maintain and Operate SCR
Remember the blue plumes which shut down power plants in the U.S.
Remember the town saturated with
sulfuric acid mist and ultimately demolished. The installation of the first SCR
systems in U.S. power plants had unintended consequences.
There has been a steep learning curve with a whole new industry involving
catalyst cleaning and regeneration, alkaline additives to reduce SO3,
and new catalysts which convert less SO2 to SO3.
Chinese power plants are being offered free access to the McIlvaine Knowledge
System on this subject. For more
